- ISC actuator
- TP sensor
- Fuel injector
- Ground wires from intake manifold
- Heated oxygen sensor and release above wire harness from clamps.
6. Disconnect coolant hoses.
- Radiator inlet hose from thermostat cap
- Heater inlet hose from intake manifold
- Throttle body outlet hose from throttle body
7. Disconnect following vacuum hoses
- MAP sensor hose from intake manifold
- Canister hose from its pipe
- Canister purge hose from intake manifold
- Brake booster hose from intake manifold.
8. Disconnect fuel return hose and fuel feed hose from fuel pipes.
9. Disconnect accelerator cable from throttle body.
10. Remove water pump pulley, crankshaft pulley and timing belt as previously outlined.
11. Remove exhaust pipe from exhaust manifold.
12. Remove cylinder head cover.
13. Remove cylinder head bolts.
14. Remove other jointed parts, hoses and electric wires, if any.
15. Remove cylinder head with distributor, intake manifold and exhaust manifold.

INSTALLATION

1. Install cylinder head gasket.
Install new head as shown in figure, that is, "TOP" mark provided on gasket comes to crankshaft pulley side, facing up (toward cylinder head).

2. Install cylinder head to block.
After applying engine oil to cylinder head bolts, tighten them gradually with a torque wrench, following sequence given in figure. Finally tighten bolts to specified torque.

Tightening Torque (a): 70 - 75 Nm (51.0 - 54.0 ft. lbs.)

3. Install rubber seal between water pump and cylinder head.
4. Install timing belt.
5. Install distributor to cylinder head.
6. Reverse removal procedure for installation of remainder.
7. Adjust intake and exhaust valve lashes.
8. Adjust water pump belt.
9. Adjust accelerator cable play.
10. Refill cooling system.
11. Connect negative cable at battery.
12. Adjust ignition timing.
13. Upon completion of installation, verify that there is no fuel leakage, coolant leakage or exhaust gas leakage at each connection.
