POOR THROTTLE BODY INJECTOR TERMINAL CONNECTION
MODEL:
SWIFT WITH THROTTLE BODY INJECTOR

CONDITION:
Intermittent rough idle condition.
CAUSE:
Poor or intermittent connection between the terminals at the throttle body injector and the injector cover.
CORRECTION:
Replace injector harness and connector as shown in this bulletin.
REPLACEMENT OF INJECTOR COVER:
DISASSEMBLY
1. Remove the two (2) screws (M5, 57.5 mm length). Remove the cover
2. Cut the wiring with cutters.
3. Remove the two (2) connector screws (M4, 10 mm length). Remove the connector.
4. Remove the two (2) screws from the injector cover (M5, 16 mm length). Remove the injector cover.
5. Measure the resistance of the injector only.
Standard: 0.5 - 1.5 Ohms
If resistance is out of standard replace the injector. See pages 6E-88 to 6E-89 of the 1995 Swift Service Manual, P/N 99500-51G00-33E for detailed injector removal and installation procedures.
ASSEMBLY
1. Pass the new injector cover wiring through the hole in the throttle body.
2. Insert the pins in the new connector pin holes. The two wires do not have polarity.
3. Assemble the connector with the original screws. Be sure to align the connector guide pins to the throttle body guide pin holes.
4. Assemble the injector cover with the new locking-type screws (M5, 16 mm length).
5. Install the cover. Make sure nothing pinches or cuts into the wiring. (Assemble with the same screws that were originally removed.)
6. Measure the resistance with the DVOM.
Standard :0.5 - 1.5 Ohms
