Heater Blower Motor Inspection

TROUBLE
Heater blower won't work even when it's switch is on.

POSSIBLE CAUSE / REMEDY

1. Blower fuse blown.
Replace fuse to check for short.

2. Blower resistor faulty.
Check continuity.

3. Blower motor faulty.
Replace motor.

4. Wiring or grounding faulty.
Repair as necessary.

TROUBLE
Incorrect temperature output

POSSIBLE CAUSE / REMEDY

1. Control cables broken or binding.
Check cables.

2. Air damper broken.
Repair damper.

3. Air ducts clogged.
Repair air ducts.

4. Heater radiator leaking or clogged.
Replace radiator.

5. Heater hoses leaking or clogged.
Replace hoses.

TROUBLE
When mode control switch is changed, air outlet port is not changed.

POSSIBLE CAUSE / REMEDY

1. Mode control switch faulty.
Check and replace if necessary.

2. Mode actuator faulty.
Check and replace if necessary.

3. Fuse blown.
Replace fuse to check for short.

4. Wiring or gounding faulty.
Repair if necessary.

5. Air damper broken.
Repair damper.

6. Air ducts clogged.
Repair air ducts.
