Rear Door Window Glass: Service and Repair

Removal




1. Remove window regulator handle (2).
For its removal, pull off snap by using a cloth (1) as shown in the figure.
2. Remove inner garnish (1) and clips (3).




3. Remove inside handle assembly mounting screw, and remove inside handle assembly (2) from door trim by sliding it forward.
4. Remove door trim.
5. Disconnect power window switch coupler (if equipped).
6. Remove door sealing cover.




7. Remove rear door center pillar garnish (1).

CAUTION: When removing center pillar garnish, slide it down first. Attempting removal without doing so will cause claws on the back of center pillar.

8. Remove outer garnish.




9. Lower window fully, then remove rear sash mounting screw (2).




10. Remove glass fitting screws (2). Then, take out door glass (1) together with bottom channel (3).
11. Detach glass from bottom channel.

Installation
Reverse removal sequence to install door glass and/or partition glass.
However, be careful of the following points.




- When installing glass to bottom channel, coat channel with soap water and tap it with a plastic hammer. Glass-fitted position of bottom channel (1) is as shown in the figure.

Dimension "a": 234 - 237 mm (9.21 - 9.33 in.)




- Securely seal door sealing cover (1) with adhesive.




- Install door window regulator handle so that it has a 45 ° angle when glass is fully closed.
