Headlamp: Adjustments

TYPE-1 HEADLIGHT AIMING

NOTE: Unless otherwise obligated by local regulation,adjust headlight aiming according to following procedure.





Before adjustment,make sure the following.
1) Place vehicle on a flat surface.
2) Adjust air pressure of all tires to a specified value respectively.
3) Move vehicle body up and down by hand.
4) Carry out with one driver (68 kg, 150 lb) aboard.





Vertical Adjustment
1) Open hood.
2) Adjust vertical aiming by turning vertical aiming screw. Bubble in indicator should be centered as shown illustrated.





Horizontal Adjustment
1) Open hood.
2) Adjust horizontal aiming by turning horizontal aiming gear. "0" mark and red line should align with black line.





TYPE-2 HEADLIGHT AIMING

NOTE: Unless otherwise obligated by local regulations, adjust headlight aiming according to following procedure.

Before adjustment, make sure the following.
1) Place vehicle on a flat surface and blank wall 7.6 m (25 ft) ahead of headlight surface.
2) Adjust air pressure of all tires to a specified value respectively.
3) Move vehicle body up and down by hand.
4) Carry out with one driver (68 kg, 150 lb) aboard.

Headlight aiming
1) Check to see if hot spot (high intensity zone) of each main (low) beam axis fails as illustrated.

Clearance "H": 25 mm (0.98 in.)

2) If headlight aiming is not set properly, align it to specification by adjusting aiming screw.
