Air Cleaner Housing: Service and Repair
AIR CLEANER ELEMENTThis air cleaner element is of dry type. Remember that it needs cleaning according to following procedure.
REMOVAL
1. Remove air cleaner upper case from lower case after unhooking clamps from upper case
2. Remove air cleaner element.
INSPECTION
Check air cleaner element for dirt.
CLEANING
Blow off dust by compressed air from air outlet side of element.
INSTALLATION
1. Install air cleaner element to its lower case.
2. Install air cleaner upper case. Hook clamps securely.
AIR CLEANER OUTLET HOSE REMOVAL
1. Disconnect negative cable at battery.
2. Disconnect breather pipe from air cleaner outlet hose.
3. Disconnect IAT sensor wire at coupler.
4. Remove air intake pipe by loosing its clamps.
INSTALLATION
Reverse removal procedure for installation.
