Stabilizer Bar: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. Hoist vehicle and remove stabilizer bar nuts (right & left).
2. Remove stabilizer bar brackets and stabilizer bar.
INSTALLATION
1. When installing stabilizer, loosely assemble all components while insuring that stabilizer is centered, side-to-side. Refer to figure for its check.
NOTE: For correct installation of stabilizer bar, side-to-side, be sure that color paint on stabilizer bar aligns with mount bush, both right and left, as shown.
2. Install parts by reversing REMOVAL procedure.
3. Torque stabilizer nuts and bolts to specification. For installing directions (and position) of mount bushes and washers, refer to figure shown.
Tightening Torque
(a): 50 Nm (5.0 kg-m, 36.5 ft. lbs.)
(b): 25 Nm (2.5 kg-m, 18.0 ft. lbs.)
(c): 28 Nm (2.8 kg-m, 20.5 ft. lbs.)
