DTC DETECTING CONDITION AND TROUBLE AREA
DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
WARNING:
- When performing a road teat, select a place where there is no traffic or possibility of a traffic accident and be very careful during testing to avoid occurrence of an accident.
- Road teat should be carried out with 2 persons, a driver and a tester, on a level road.
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Clear DTC stored in TCM and ECM.
3. Start engine and run it at idle.
4. Shift select lever to "D" range and hold it there for longer than 10 sec.
5. Check DTC and if no malfunction DTC appears, proceed to the next step.
6. Drive vehicle at 40 mph, 60 km/h or more for longer than 30 sec.
7. Stop vehicle and check DTC and pending DTC.
TROUBLESHOOTING (DTC P0705/DTC NO. 34)
TRANSMISSION RANGE SENSOR CIRCUIT CHECK
When using SUZUKI scan tool:
1. Connect SUZUKI scan tool to DLC with ignition switch OFF.
2. Turn ignition switch ON and check transmission range signal (P, R, N, D, 2 or L) on display when shifting select lever to each range.
If select lever position is not displayed on scan tool or displayed range is different from select lever position, check select cable, transmission range sensor or wire harness.
When not using SUZUKI scan tool:
1. Turn ignition switch ON.
2. Check voltage at each of E25-2, E25-1, E25-9, E25-8, E25-21 and E25-20 terminals with select lever shifted to each range. If each voltage is not as specified, check select cable, transmission range sensor or wire harness.
