Driver Air Bag (Inflator) Module
WARNING: When handling an air bag (inflator) module, be sure to read "Precautions on Handling and Storage of Air Bag System Components"and observe each instruction. Failure to follow them could cause a damage to the air bag (inflator) module or result in personal injury.Removal
1. Disconnect negative battery cable at battery terminal.
2. Disable air bag system referring to "Disabling Air Bag System:
3. Remove steering wheel side cap of right side and disconnect horn connectors (1).
4. Remove air bag (inflator) module bolts (2 pcs.).

5. Remove air bag (inflator) module from steering wheel.
Installation
1. Install air bag (inflator) module to steering wheel, taking care so that no part of wire harness is caught between them.
2. Tighten air bag (inflator) module left side bolt (1) first and then its right side bolt (2) to specified torque. Make sure that clearance between module and steering wheel is uniform all the way.

Tightening torque
Driver air bag (inflator) module bolt (a): 23 N.m (2.3 kg-m, 17.0 lb-ft)
3. Connect horn connectors (1) securely, fit connector onto projection (2) of steering wheel right side cap and then install right side cap on steering wheel lower cover.
4. Connect negative battery cable.
5. Enable air bag system referring to "Enabling Air Bag System".
