NOTE: Never reuse used gasket.
12. Remove check valve and compression spring (1), three balls (2) and oil solenoid strainers (3).
13. Remove the following parts from front valve body by removing keys (5).
Reassembly
1. Install valves and compression springs (1)to torque convertor side of front valve body.
NOTE: To identify correct spring or valve, refer to compression spring identification.
2. Place check balls (2), check valve, compression spring and oil solenoid strainers (3).
3. Install gaskets (2), plate (3), and front valve body cover (4) and tighten bolts to specified torque.
Tightening torque
Front valve body cover bolt: 6.8 Nm (0.68 kgf-m, 4.9 ft. lbs.)
4. Install valves and compression springs to rear cover side of front valve body.
NOTE: To identify correct spring or valve, refer to compression spring identification.
5. Install accumulator pistons, valves and compression springs to rear valve body.
NOTE:
^ Don't reuse accumulator O-ring.
^ To identify correct piston, valve or spring, refer to compression spring identification.
6. Place check balls (2) and accumulator spring (3) to rear valve body covers (1).
7. Install gaskets (2), plates (3) and rear valve body covers (4) with check balls and accumulator spring (1), and then tighten bolts to specified torque.
Tightening torque
Rear valve body cover bolt: 10 Nm (1.0 kgf-m, 7.5 ft. lbs.)
8. Place check balls, oil solenoid strainer (3), check valves and compression springs to rear valve body (6).
9. Place gaskets (2) and plate (3) on rear valve body (1).
NOTE: Place new gaskets and plate as shown in figure, that is, "A0" mark provided on plate faces to front valve body side.
10. Place check valve (1) and compression spring (2) to front valve body (3).
11. Install rear valve body with gaskets, plate and inner parts to front valve body and tighten bolts to specified torque.
Tightening torque
Front valve body bolt (a): 6.8 Nm (0.68 kgf-m, 4.9 ft. lbs.)
12. Install solenoid valves to valve body and tighten bolts to specified torque.
Tightening torque
Solenoid valve bolt (a): 6.8 Nm (0.68 kgf-m, 4.9 ft. lbs.)
NOTE:
^ Don't reuse solenoid valve O-rings.
^ No.1 shift solenoid valve and No.2 shift solenoid valve are interchangeable with each other.
13. Install manual shift valve to valve body.
14. Install valve body assembly to transmission case.
NOTE: Don't reuse gaskets.
