CONDITION:

A metallic brake clack, tap, or click, may be heard after a first time brake application once the vehicle has changed direction from forward to reverse and/or reverse to forward.

CAUSE:

The brake noise is caused by the brake pads shifting slightly in the brake caliper carrier and contacting the caliper.

CORRECTION:

Install only updated caliper springs on both front calipers to correct this condition.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

Follow repair procedures as per Section 4, Front Brakes, of the applicable RH420 service manual.
