SERVICE MANUAL UPDATE FOR PROGRAMMING KEYLESS TRANSMITTERS

CONDITION:
The 2004 Forenza Service Manual has the incorrect keyless entry system programming procedure.

CORRECTION:
Follow the programming procedure as given in this service bulletin.

1. With the ignition key oft connect the Tech 2 Scan Tool to the vehicle.

2. Turn on the Scan Tool.

3. From the Suzuki Start Screen press.

4. Select F0: DIAGNOSTICS from the menu and press ENTER.

5. Select NEW then press ENTER.

6. Select NORTH AMERICAN then press ENTER.

7. Select FORENZA then press ENTER at the Body screen press ENTER.

8. Select RKE (Remote Keyless Entry) then press ENTER.

9. Select MISC TEST then press ENTER.

10. Select KEYLESS TRANSMITTER REGISTRATION then press ENTER.

11. At the TRANSMITTER REGISTRATION confirmation screen press ENTER.

12. Press BOTH the LOCK & UNLOCK buttons at the same time on the Transmitter (Key) and release.

13. Press the UNLOCK button on the Transmitter (Key).

14. To continue programming Transmitters* press ENTER then repeat steps 12 & 13 if complete press EXIT.

* The Forenza is capable of programming 4 keys.
