DRIVER DOOR LOCK TUMBLER FALLS INTO DOOR WHEN THE KEY IS INSERTED

REVISION:
Defect Code and Complaint Code corrected.

CONDITION:
The driver door lock tumbler may be pushed into the door when the key is inserted.

CAUSE:
The door handle mounting bolt my have worked loose from normal use.





CORRECTION:
Retrieve the fallen door handle mounting bolt from inside the door. Refer to Outside Door Handle Removal and Installation. Remove the other door handle mounting bolt and apply Loctite(R) to the threads of both bolts before reinstalling. Use this increased torque spec. of 5 Nm (44 lb-in)
