TCM REPROGRAMMING TO IMPROVE TRANSMISSION SHIFT QUALITY

The Warranty Claim Information has been changed. And the TSB number has been changed to fit the correct Section Title. TSB Engine 05 06035 is now obsolete.

CONDITION:
Transmission slow upshift and passing gear downshift delay.

CAUSE:
Transmission Control Module (TCM) Software Logic

CORRECTION:
Transmission shift quality can be improved by reprogramming the TCM. Follow the reprogramming procedure described below.

Reprogramming Procedure:

1. Log onto the SCAT system and access the Suzuki Pitstop. Click on "OBD/OBDII DIAGNOSTICS"

2. Download and review the Suzuki Pass-Thru Reprogramming Tool Operator's Manual. This must be read and understood COMPLETELY before attempting to reprogram the TCM.

3. Following the procedure outlined in the Suzuki Pass-Thru Reprogramming Tool Operator's Manual, download and install the Pass-Thru Reprogramming Software "3 SOFTWARE.EXE" and the Suzuki Pass-Thru Reprogramming Data Base Calibration "4_DATABASE1.EXE" onto your PC.

4. Following the procedures outlined in the Suzuki Pass-Thru Reprogramming Tool Operator's Manual hook up the SDS Interface Tool P/N 09910-06520 to the vehicle and run the TCM reprogramming software.





5. When the TCM reprogramming is complete fill out the Reprogram Label P/N 99963-01501-224 and affix it to the inside right of the glove box door as shown.
