CONDITION:
During cold engine operation, vehicles with manual transmission may exhibit a high idle (2000 + r.p.m.) for up to ten seconds when coming to a stop with the clutch released.
During cold engine operation, vehicles with automatic transmission may exhibit a rough idle/stall in neutral/park in the first ten seconds of engine operation or in gear if a shift occurs quicker than 15 seconds after starting.
CAUSE:
ECM Software Logic
CORRECTION:
Engine idle can be improved by reprogramming the ECM. Follow the reprogramming procedure described below.

Reprogramming Procedure:
1. Log onto the SCAT system and access the Suzuki Pitstop. Click on "OBD/OBDII DIAGNOSTICS"
2. Download and review the Suzuki Pass-Thru Reprogramming Tool Operator's Manual. This must be read and understood COMPLETELY before attempting to reprogram the ECM.
3. Following the procedure outlined in the Suzuki Pass-Thru Reprogramming Tool Operator's Manual, download and install the Pass-Thru Reprogramming Software "3_SOFTWARE.EXE" and the Suzuki Pass-Thru Reprogramming Data Base Calibration Files "4_DATABASE1.EXE" onto your PC.
4. Following the procedures outlined in the Suzuki Pass-Thru Reprogramming Tool Operator's Manual hook up the SDS Interface Tool P/N 09910-06520 to the vehicle and run the ECM reprogramming software.
5. When the ECM reprogramming is complete fill out the Reprogram Label PIN 99963-01501-224 and affix it to the inside left of the glove box door as shown.
