DTC B1013: SDM Internal Failure

NOTE:

DTC B1013 can never be cleared once it has been set.

DTC Troubleshooting



1.
Was "Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Flow" performed?
YES
Go to Step 2.
NO
Go to Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Flow:Advanced Air Bag.

2. DTC check

Clear DTC referring to DTC Clearance DTC Clearance:Advanced Air Bag.
Turn OFF ignition switch.
Turn ON ignition switch and check DTC.

Is DTC B1013 still indicated?
YES
Go to Step 3.
NO
Intermittent trouble.
Check for intermittent referring to Intermittent and Poor Connection Inspection Intermittent and Poor Connection Inspection.

3. SDM power supply and ground circuit check

Check SDM power supply and ground circuit referring to Testing and Inspection SDM Power Supply and Ground Circuit Check:Advanced Air Bag.

Is SDM power supply and ground circuit in good condition?
YES
Substitute a known-good SDM and recheck.
NO
Repair power supply and ground circuit.
