DTC Troubleshooting
1.
Was "Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Flow" performed?
YES
Go to Step 2.
NO
Go to Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Flow:Advanced Air Bag.
2. "PASS AIR BAG OFF" indicator light circuit check
Disconnect SDM connector "L04".
Check for proper connection to SDM at terminal "L04-34".
With ignition switch turned ON, measure voltage between "L04-34" and body ground.
Special Tool
(A): 09932-76010
Is measured voltage in 10 - 14 V?
YES
Go to Step 3.
NO
Go to Step 4.
3. "PASS AIR BAG OFF" indicator light circuit check
Disconnect hazard warning switch connector "G153".
Check for proper connection to hazard warning switch at terminal in "G153" connector.
With ignition switch turned ON, measure voltage between "L04-34" and body ground.
Special Tool
(A): 09932-76010
Is measured voltage 0 V?
YES
Substitute a known-good SDM and recheck.
NO
Repair "BLK/BLU" circuit for short to power supply circuit.
4. "PASS AIR BAG OFF" indicator light circuit check
With ignition switch turned ON, measure voltage between "G153-9" and body ground.
Special Tool
(A): 09932-76010
Is measured voltage in 10 - 14 V?
YES
Repair "BLK/BLU" circuit for open.
NO
Go to Step 5.
5. "PASS AIR BAG OFF" indicator light circuit check
With ignition switch turned ON, measure voltage between "G153-10" and body ground.
Special Tool
(A): 09932-76010
Is measured voltage in 10 - 14 V?
YES
Replace hazard warning switch.
NO
Repair "RED/BLK" circuit for open.
NOTE:
Upon completion of inspection and repair work, perform the following items.
- Reconnect all air bag system components and ensure all components are properly mounted.
- Clear DTCs referring to DTC Clearance DTC Clearance:Advanced Air Bag
, if any.
- Repeat Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Air Bag Diagnostic System Check:Advanced Air Bag
to confirm that the trouble has been corrected.
