DTC B1016: Power Source Voltage Too High

DTC Troubleshooting
1.
Was "Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Flow" performed?
YES
Go to Step 2.
NO
Go to Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Flow:Advanced Air Bag.
2. SDM power supply voltage check
With ignition switch turned OFF, disconnect SDM connector "L04".
Check for proper connection to SDM at "L04-27" terminal.
If OK, run engine with more than 3000 rpm.
In this state, check voltage between "L04-27" terminal on SDM connector and body ground.
Special Tool
(A): 09932-76010
Is measured voltage 15 V or less?
YES
Go to Step 3.
NO
Check charging system and repair as necessary referring to Generator Test.
3. DTC B1016 recheck
With ignition switch turned OFF, reconnect SDM connector.
With ignition switch turned ON, is DTC B1016 still indicated?
YES
Substitute a known-good SDM and recheck.
NO
Intermittent trouble. Check for intermittent trouble referring to Inspection of Intermittent and Poor Connections:Advanced Air Bag
If OK, substitute a known-good SDM and recheck.
NOTE:
Upon completion of inspection and repair work, perform the following items.
- Reconnect all air bag system components and ensure all components are properly mounted.
- Clear DTCs referring to DTC Clearance DTC Clearance:Advanced Air Bag
, if any.
- Repeat Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Air Bag Diagnostic System Check:Advanced Air Bag
to confirm that the trouble has been corrected.
