Head Lining Removal and Installation
WARNING:
Failure to take proper precautions related to the air bag system when performing the procedures described below could cause personal injury due to accidental activation of the air bag system.
Refer to Air Bag Warning Air Bag Warning
, and make sure that you understand all instructions before starting the service work.
Removal
1) Remove sun visor (1).
2) Remove dome lights of front (1) and center (2).
3) For hatchback model, remove front pillar upper trims (1), center pillar inner lower trims (3), rear side sill scuffs (2), center pillar inner upper trims (4), back panel trim (5) and rear trims (6).
4) Remove rear side air bag (if equipped) (7). Refer to Removal and Installation Rear Side-Air Bag (Inflator) Module Removal and Installation:Advanced Air Bag.
5) Remove rear quarter lower front trims (8) and rear quarter upper trims (9).
6) For sedan model, remove front pillar upper trims (1), center pillar inner lower trims (3), rear side sill scuffs (2), center pillar upper trims (4).
7) Remove rear seat side backs (6). Refer to Removal and Installation Rear Seat Removal and Installation.
8) Remove rear pillar inner trims (5).
9) Remove assistant grip (1).
10) Remove head lining clips (2) at rear end and remove head lining (3).
Installation
Reverse removal procedure noting the following.
- Fix sun visor clip (1) first and adjust head lining in position and fix three clips (2) at rear end.
- Tighten bolt and screw to specified torque.
Tightening torque
Sun visor screw (a): 4 Nm (0.4 kgf-m, 3.0 lbf-ft)
- Tighten rear seat bolt referring to Components Rear Seat Components
