DTC B1315: OCM Operating Temperature Out of Range

DTC Troubleshooting



1.
Was "Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Flow" performed?
YES
Go to Step 2.
NO
Go to Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Flow:Advanced Air Bag.

2. OCM operation check

Leave the vehicle for about an hour in the outside temperature within 10 to 30 °C (50 to 86 °F) with all windows opened.
Check that the surface temperature of the front passenger seat is within -20 °C (4 °F) to 65 °C (149 °F).
Turn off the ignition switch once. Then turn it on and check if a trouble code is detected.

Is DTC B1315 indicated?
YES
Go to Step 3.
NO
It is in good condition. Room (seat cushion) temperature had been too high or low.

3. OCM power supply and ground circuit check

Check OCM power supply and ground circuit referring to Testing and Inspection OCM Power Supply and Ground Circuit Check:Advanced Air Bag.

Is it in good condition?
YES
Replace seat cushion built in OCM with sensor mat referring to Seat Cushion Built in OCM with Sensor Mat Removal and Installation:Advanced Air Bag.
NO
Repair OCM power supply or ground circuit.

NOTE:

Upon completion of inspection and repair work, perform the following items.

- Reconnect all air bag system components and ensure all components are properly mounted.
- Clear DTCs referring to DTC Clearance DTC Clearance:Advanced Air Bag
, if any.

- Repeat Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Air Bag Diagnostic System Check:Advanced Air Bag
to confirm that the trouble has been corrected.
