Wiring Diagram
DTC Detecting Condition and Trouble Area
DTC Troubleshooting
1.
Was "Electronic Stability Program Check" performed?
YES
Go to Step 2
NO
Go to Electronic Stability Program Check.
2. DTC check for ESP(R)
Connect SUZUKI scan tool to DLC with ignition switch turned OFF.
Turn ignition switch ON and check DTC for ESP(R).
Are DTC U0073 and/or U0126 detected?
YES
Go to applicable DTC troubleshooting.
NO
Go to Step 3.
3. Check fuse
Check circuit fuses for steering angle sensor and its circuit.
Is it good condition?
YES
Go to Step 4.
NO
Replace fuse and check for short circuit to ground.
4. Check steering angle sensor power supply circuit
Turn ignition switch to OFF position.
Disconnect steering angle sensor connector.
Check for proper connection to steering angle sensor connector terminals at "G33-2" and "G33-3".
If OK, then measure voltage between connector terminal "G33-3" and vehicle body ground.
Is it 10 - 14 V?
YES
Go to Step 4.
NO
"WHT/RED" wire circuit open.
5. Check steering angle sensor ground circuit
Turn ignition switch to OFF position.
Measure resistance between connector terminal "G33-2" and vehicle body ground.
Is resistance less than 2 ohms?
YES
Substitute a known-good steering angle sensor and recheck. If DTC C1037 is still detected, substitute a known-good ESP(R) hydraulic unit / control module assembly and recheck.
NO
"BLK/ORN" wire circuit open or high resistance.
