DTC Confirmation Procedure
NOTE:
- If DTC other than aimed DTC are previously detected in DTC confirmation procedure, be sure to troubleshoot DTC previously detected.
- Check that the following conditions are satisfied when using this procedure.
- Battery voltage > 10.5 V
1) Drive vehicle at 20 km/h (12 mile/h) or higher for 10 sec.
DTC Troubleshooting
1.
Was "CVT System Check" performed?
YES
Go to Step 2.
NO
Go to CVT System Check.
2. Sensor power supply circuit check
Turn off ignition switch and disconnect TCM connectors.
Check for proper terminal connection to TCM connectors.
If connections are OK, check that sensor power supply circuit (B1) is as follows.
- Insulation resistance of wire harness is infinity between sensor power supply circuit and each terminal at solenoid connector.
- Circuit voltage of sensor power supply circuit is 0 - 1 V with ignition switch in ON position.
Are they in good condition?
YES
Go to Step 3.
NO
Repair or replace defective wire harness.
3. Sensor ground circuit check
Turn off ignition switch and disconnect TCM and solenoid connectors.
Check for proper terminal connection to TCM and solenoid connectors.
If connections are OK, check that sensor ground circuit (B2) is as follows.
- Insulation resistance of sensor ground circuit is infinity between solenoid connector and vehicle body ground.
- Insulation resistance of wire harness is infinity between sensor ground circuit terminal and each terminal at solenoid connector.
Are they in good condition?
YES
Go to Step 4.
NO
Repair or replace defective wire harness.
4. Primary pressure sensor and its circuit check
Check primary pressure sensor and its circuit according to Step 2 through 3 of P0842 DTC P0842 / P0843.
Are they in good condition?
YES
Go to Step 5.
NO
Repair or replace defective parts.
5. Secondary pressure sensor and its circuit check
Check secondary pressure sensor and its circuit according to Step 2 through 3 of P0847 DTC P0847 / P0848.
Are they in good condition?
YES
Go to Step 6.
NO
Repair or replace defective parts.
6. CVT fluid temperature and its circuit check
Check CVT fluid temperature sensor and its circuit according to Step 2 through 3 of P0711 DTC P0711.
Are they in good condition?
YES
Substitute a known-good TCM and recheck.
NO
Replace CVT assembly.
