DTC Troubleshooting
1.
Was "Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Flow" performed?
YES -
Go to Step 2.
NO -
Go to Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Flow Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Flow:Advanced Air Bag.
2. DTC check
Connect scan tool to DLC with ignition switch turned OFF.
Turn ON ignition switch and check SDM for DTC.
Are there any DTC(s) from B1311 to B1318?
YES -
Go to applicable DTC diag. flow.
NO -
Go to Step 3.
3. OCM power supply and ground circuit check
Check OCM power supply and ground circuit referring to Testing and Inspection OCM Power Supply and Ground Circuit Check:Advanced Air Bag.
Is OCM in good condition?
YES -
Go to Step 4.
NO -
Repair OCM power supply or ground circuit.
4. DTC recheck
Recheck SDM for DTC.
Is DTC B1018 still detected?
YES -
Replace OCM referring to Seat Cushion Built in OCM with Sensor Mat Removal and Installation Seat Cushion Built in OCM with Sensor Mat Removal and Installation:Advanced Air Bag
and recheck If DTC is still detected, replace SDM.
NO -
Intermittent trouble. Check for intermittent trouble referring to Inspection of Intermittent and Poor Connections Inspection of Intermittent and Poor Connections:Advanced Air Bag
If OK, recheck SDM for DTC.
NOTE:
Upon completion of inspection and repair work, perform the following items.
- Reconnect all air bag system components and ensure all components are properly mounted.
- Clear DTCs referring to DTC Clearance DTC Clearance:Advanced Air Bag
, if any.
- Repeat Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Air Bag Diagnostic System Check:Advanced Air Bag
to confirm that the trouble has been corrected.
