DTC Confirmation Procedure

NOTE:

If DTCs other than aimed DTC are previously detected in DTC confirmation procedure, be sure to troubleshoot DTC previously detected.

1) Warm up engine to normal operating temperature.
2) Run engine at idle speed for 45 sec.

DTC Troubleshooting

1.
Was "Engine and Emission Control System Check" performed?
YES -
Go to Step 2.
NO -
Go to Engine and Emission Control System Check Engine and Emission Control System Check.

2. DTC Check

Check DTC.

Is there DTC(s) other than DTC P0506 and DTC P0507 detected?
YES -
Go to applicable DTC(s).
NO -
Go to Step 3.

3. Idle speed check

Check idle speed. Idle Speed and IAC Throttle Valve Opening Inspection

Is it in good condition?
YES -
Check for intermittent. Intermittent and Poor Connection Inspection
NO -
Go to Step 4.

4. Air intake system check

Check air intake system for clogging and air inhibit.

Is it in good condition?
YES -
Go to Step 5.
NO -
Repair or replace defection parts.

5. Fuel system check

Check fuel system. Fuel System Inspection

Is check result satisfactory?
YES -
Go to Step 6.
NO -
Repair or replace defective parts or wire harness.

6. Throttle body check

Check throttle valve for operation. Testing and Inspection

Is it in good condition?
YES -
Go to Step 7.
NO -
Repair or replace defective parts.

7. Engine mechanical check

Check engine mechanical for performance. Engine Symptom Diagnosis

Is it in good condition?
YES -
Substitute a known-good ECM and recheck.
NO -
Repair or replace defective parts.
