Check for proper terminal connection to generator connector and ECM connectors.
If connections are OK, check that generator field coil monitor signal circuit (B1) is as follows.
- Wiring harness resistance of generator field coil monitor signal circuit is less than 3 ohms.
- Insulation resistance between generator field coil monitor signal circuit and vehicle body ground is infinity.
- Insulation resistance of wire harness is infinity between generator field coil monitor signal circuit terminal and each terminal at generator connector.
- Circuit voltage of generator field coil monitor signal circuit is 0 - 1 V with ignition switch in ON position.

Is it in good condition?
YES -
Go to Step 3.
NO -
Repair or replace defective wire harness.

3. Repair or Replace generator. Generator Removal and Installation
Check DTC.
