DTC Confirmation Procedure

1) Turn ignition switch to ON position for 10 sec.
2) Turn OFF ignition switch for 10 sec.

DTC Troubleshooting (P2102)

1.
Was "Engine and Emission Control System Check" performed?
YES -
Go to Step 2.
NO -
Go to Engine and Emission Control System Check Engine and Emission Control System Check.

2. Throttle actuator control relay circuit check

Check throttle actuator control relay. Testing and Inspection

Is it in good condition?
YES -
Go to Step 3.
NO -
Replace throttle actuator control relay.

3. Throttle actuator control relay power supply circuit check

Turn OFF ignition switch and remove throttle actuator control relay.
Check for proper terminal connection to throttle actuator control relay connector.
If connections are OK, check that voltage between throttle actuator control relay power supply circuit (A1 - A2) and vehicle body ground is battery voltage.

Is it in good condition?
YES -
Go to Step 4.
NO -
Repair or replace defective wire harness.

4. Throttle actuator control relay drive circuit and throttle actuator power supply circuit check

Turn OFF ignition switch and disconnect connectors from ECM.
Check that throttle actuator control relay drive circuit (A3) and throttle actuator power supply circuit (A4) are as follows.
- Wiring harness resistance of throttle actuator control relay drive circuit and throttle actuator power supply circuit is less than 3 ohms.
- Insulation resistance between throttle actuator control relay drive circuit and throttle actuator power supply circuit and vehicle body ground is infinity.
- Insulation resistance of wire harness is infinity between throttle actuator control relay drive circuit terminal and each terminal at throttle actuator control relay connector.
- Insulation resistance of wire harness is infinity between throttle actuator power supply circuit terminal and each terminal at throttle actuator control relay connector.
- Circuit voltage of throttle actuator control relay drive circuit and throttle actuator power supply circuit is 0 - 1 V with ignition switch in ON position.

Are they in good condition?
YES -
Substitute a known-good ECM and recheck.
NO -
Repair or replace defective wire harness.

DTC Troubleshooting (P2103)

1.
Was "Engine and Emission Control System Check" performed?
YES -
Go to Step 2.
NO -
Go to Engine and Emission Control System Check Engine and Emission Control System Check.

2. Throttle actuator control relay check

Check throttle actuator control relay. Testing and Inspection

Is it in good condition?
YES -
Go to Step 3.
NO -
Replace throttle actuator control relay.

3. Throttle actuator power supply circuit check

Turn OFF ignition switch.
Check that throttle actuator power supply circuit (A4) is 0 - 1 V with ignition switch turned OFF.

Is it in good condition?
YES -
Substitute a known-good ECM and recheck.
NO -
Repair or replace defective wire harness.
