Trunk Lid Lock Assembly Removal and Installation (Sedan)

Removal

1) Remove trunk lid trim (1) from trunk lid panel (if equipped).





2) Disconnect trunk lid latch control rod (1) from trunk lid.
3) (Keyless start model)

Disconnect trunk lid latch actuator coupler (3).
4) (Keyless start model)

Remove trunk lid latch actuator (2) from trunk lid.





5) (Non- keyless start model)

Remove trunk lid lock cylinder (1) from trunk lid.






6) Remove trunk lid latch bolt (1), and then disconnect trunk lid opener wire (2) from trunk lid latch (4).
7) Remove trunk lid latch (4) with trunk lid latch control rod (3).











Installation

Reverse removal procedure to install trunk lid lock assembly noting the following instruction.

- Tighten trunk lid latch bolt (1) to specified torque.

Tightening torque
Trunk lid latch bolt (a): 4.5 Nm (0.45 kgf-m, 3.5 lbf-ft)





- Adjust trunk lid latch striker (1) so that its center aligns with the center of groove in trunk lid latch base (2).

Tightening torque
Trunk lid latch striker bolt (a): 4.5 Nm (0.45 kgf-m, 3.5 lbf-ft)
