Front Seat Removal and Installation

Front Seat Components

WARNING:

Failure to take proper precautions related to the air bag system when performing the procedures described below could cause personal injury due to accidental activation of the air bag system.

Refer to Air Bag Warning Air Bag Warning
, and make sure that you understand all instructions before starting the service work.

Removal

1) Disable air bag system referring to Disabling Air Bag System Disabling Air Bag System:Except Advanced Air Bag or Disabling Air Bag System Disabling Air Bag System:Advanced Air Bag.
2) Disconnect seat harness coupler and side air bag coupler, if equipped.
3) Remove 4 mounting bolts to remove seat assembly.
4) Disassemble and repair seat as necessary.

Installation

Reverse removal procedure to install front seat.

- Apply thread lock cement to seat mounting bolt.

: Thread lock cement 99000-32100 or 99000-32030

- Torque to specifications as shown in Components Front Seat Components.
- Enable air bag system referring to Enabling Air Bag System Enabling Air Bag System:Except Advanced Air Bag or Enabling Air Bag System Enabling Air Bag System:Advanced Air Bag.
