DTC Troubleshooting

1.
Was "Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Flow" performed?
YES -
Go to Step 2.
NO -
Go to Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Flow Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Flow:Advanced Air Bag.

2. Seat belt buckle sensor circuit check

With ignition switch turned OFF, disconnect applicable seat belt buckle sensor connector "L175" or "L176".
Disconnect SDM connector "L04".
Check for proper connection to SDM connector at terminals "L04-39" (for DTC B1382) or "L04-40" (for DTC B1385).
Check for proper connection to applicable seat belt buckle sensor connector at terminal in connector "L175" or "L176".
Measure resistance between "L04-39" and "L176-2" terminals, between "L176-1" and body ground (for DTC B1382).
Measure resistance between "L04-40" and "L175-2" terminals, between "L175-1" and body ground (for DTC B1385).
Special Tool

(A): 09932-76010





Is each measured resistance 1 ohms or less?
YES -
Go to Step 3.
NO -
Repair open in defective wire.

3. Seat belt buckle sensor circuit check

With ignition turned ON, measure voltage between "L176-2" terminal and body ground (for DTC B1382) or between "L175-2" terminal and body ground (for DTC B1385).
Special Tool

Is each measured voltage 0 V?
YES -
Replace seat belt buckle sensor, and recheck.
If DTC still detected, replace SDM.
NO -
Repair short to power supply or other circuit in defective wire.

NOTE:

Upon completion of inspection and repair work, perform the following items.

- Reconnect all air bag system components and ensure all components are properly mounted.
- Clear DTCs referring to DTC Clearance DTC Clearance:Advanced Air Bag
, if any.

- Repeat Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Air Bag Diagnostic System Check:Advanced Air Bag
to confirm that the trouble has been corrected.
