DTC Confirmation Procedure

NOTE:

If DTCs other than aimed DTC are previously detected in DTC confirmation procedure, be sure to troubleshoot DTC previously detected.

1) Run engine at idle speed for 1 min.

DTC Troubleshooting

1.
Was "Engine and Emission Control System Check" performed?
YES -
Go to Step 2.
NO -
Go to Engine and Emission Control System Check Engine and Emission Control System Check.

2. DTC check

Check DTC.

Is there any CAN-DTC?
YES -
Go to Precaution of Troubleshooting for CAN Precaution of Troubleshooting for CAN
NO -
Go to Step 3.

3. Fuel level sensor circuit check

Check fuel level sensor circuit according to Step 3 through 4 under P0461 DTC P0461.

Is it in good condition?
YES -
Go to Step 4.
NO -
Repair or replace defective wire harness.

4. Fuel level sensor check

Check fuel level sensor. Fuel Level Sensor Inspection

Is it in good condition?
YES -
Go to Step 5.
NO -
Repair or replace defective parts.

5. DTC recheck

Replace combination meter. Service and Repair
Perform DTC confirmation procedure and check DTC.

Are DTC P0462 and P0463 still detected?
YES -
Substitute a known-good ECM and recheck.
NO -
End.
