DTC Detecting Condition and Trouble Area

Refer to P0122 DTC P0122 / P0123.

DTC Confirmation Procedure

1) Turn ignition switch to ON position.
2) Keep the accelerator pedal at fully depressed position for 2 sec.
3) Keep the accelerator pedal at idle position for 2 sec.
4) Repeat Step 2) through 3) for 3 times.

DTC Troubleshooting

1.
Was "Engine and Emission Control System Check" performed?
YES -
Go to Step 2.
NO -
Go to Engine and Emission Control System Check Engine and Emission Control System Check.

2. Throttle actuator drive circuit check

Turn OFF ignition switch and disconnect connectors from throttle body assembly and ECM.
Check for proper terminal connection to throttle body assembly and ECM connectors.
If connections are OK, check that throttle actuator drive circuit (B1, B2) is as follows.
- Wiring harness resistance of each throttle actuator drive circuit is less than 3 ohms.
- Insulation resistance of each throttle actuator drive circuit are infinity between throttle body assembly connector and vehicle body ground.
- Insulation resistance of wire harness is infinity between each throttle actuator drive circuit terminal and each terminals at throttle body assembly connector.
- Circuit voltage of each throttle actuator drive circuit are 0 - 1 V with ignition switch turned in ON position.

Is it in good condition?
YES -
Go to Step 3.
NO -
Repair or replace defective wire harness.

3. Throttle body assembly check

Check throttle body for performance. Testing and Inspection

Is it in good condition?
YES -
Substitute a known-good ECM and recheck.
NO -
Replace throttle body assembly.
