VEHICLE LIFT

USE OF SWING-ARM TYPE AUTO-LIFT:

This vehicle, when hoisted on swing-arm type auto-lift may become unstable and cause hazardous conditions when service is performed. The center of gravity for the vehicle may be close to the position supported by the front swing-arms as shown in Figure 1.





When lifting the vehicle, use other auto-lifts, when available, to ensure stability of the vehicle. If a swing-arm type auto-lift is used, follow the instructions below.

1. Place the swing-arms in the positions indicated in Figure 2.





2. When performing major services which may result in shifting the vehicle's center of gravity, support the chassis frame as indicated in Figure 3 with a long jack or safety stand.
