22R ENGINES
1. On models equipped with High Altitude Compensation (HAC), disconnect and plug vacuum hose to lower port of HAC valve.
2. Connect tachometer, start engine and ensure that engine is running properly, then pinch off hose to DFC vacuum switch.
3. Gradually increase engine speed to 3000 RPM.
4. Engine should begin to misfire slightly at 1800---3000 RPM.
5. Release pinched vacuum hose and repeat step 3. Engine should not misfire when accelerated through RPM ranges specified in step 4.
6. With engine running at idle, disconnect electrical connector to appropriate fuel cut solenoid, Fig. 25. Engine should run rough.
7. Reconnect electrical connector to solenoid. Engine should run smoothly.
