Ignition Timing: Adjustments

1. Connect a timing light to the engine.
2. Start the engine and let it idle.











3. Using the timing light, slowly turn the distributor until the timing mark on the crank pulley is aligned with the 12° BTDC mark. tighten the distributer bolt.
4. Recheck the distributer timing.

- Disconnect vacuum lines from distributor.
Ignition timing @ idle (w/vacuum advance off): 0° TDC
