Thermo Time Switch: Testing and Inspection

Fig. 37 Testing Start Time Switch:

1. Disconnect electrical connector from switch and measure resistance between terminals, Fig. 37.
2. Meter should read 20 - 40 ohms with coolant temperature below 95°F and 40 - 60 ohms with temperature above 95°F).
3. Measure resistance between STA and ground. Meter should read 20 - 80 ohms.
4. If readings are not as specified, switch is defective.
