TITLE 1986 MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE


A majority of 1986 models now require the uniform 10,000 miles/12 months maintenace schedule making it simpler for everyone to remember when required maintenance is due.

For the following Group One 1986 models, the normal scheduled maintenance intervals will be as follows:

GROUP ONE-PASSENGER CARS AND 4 X 2 TRUCKS

Maintenance service, including oil and filter change, is required every 10,000 miles or 12 months, whichever occurs first.

(1) MX -- Cressida with 5M-GE Engine
(2) MA -- Supra with 5M-GE Engine
(3) SV -- Camry with 2S-E Engine
(4) ST -- Celica with 2S-EL & 3S-GEL Engines
(5) AE -- FWD & RWD Corolla with 4A-C and 4A-GE Engine
(6) AL -- Tercel with 3A-C Engine
(7) AW -- MR2 with 4A-GE Engine
(8) YR -- Van with 4Y-E Engine
(9) RN -- 4 x 2 Trucks with 22R and 22R-E Engines

However, the maintenance intervals for the following models are different from above models due to the unique nature of the engine and/or chassis system:

GROUP TWO - Exceptions

Oil change every 5,000 miles or six months, oil and oil filter change every 10,000 miles or 12 months, chassis related maintenance every 20,000 miles or 24 months, and engine related maintenance every 30,000 miles or 36 months, whichever occurs first.

(10) CV -- Camry with 2C-T Turbo Diesel Engine

(11) RN -- 4 X 2 Trucks with 22R-TE gasoline Turbo Engine
GROUP TWO - Exceptions (Cont'd)

Oil and filter change every 10,000 miles or 12 months, engine related maintenance every 30,000 miles or 36 months, and chassis related maintenance every 15,000 miles or 18 months, whichever occurs first.

(12) RN -- 4 x 4 Trucks with 22R and 22R-E Engine

Oil change every 5,000 miles or 6 months, oil and oil filter every 10,000 miles or 12 months, engine related maintenace every 30,000 miles or 36 months and chassis related maintenance every 15,000 miles or 18 months, whichever occurs first.

(13) RN -- 4 x 4 Trucks with 22R-TE gasoline Turbo Engine



SEVERE SERVICE REQUIREMENTS

Several items require more frequent service under severe driving conditions as described in both the Owners Manuals and Repair Manuals. The guidelines for which maintenance schedule to follow - severe or normal - is shown below and in all Owner's manuals.
