Inspection of Feedback Control

INSPECTION OF FEED BACK CONTROL




1. CONNECT SST AND ANALOG VOLTMETER
Connect SST to the service connector and connect a voltmeter to SST.
SST 09842-14010

Connect the (+) testing probe to the red wire of the SST and (-) testing probe to the black wire.

2. WARM-UP ENGINE TO NORMAL OPERATING TEMPERATURE
3. CONNECT A TACHbMETER TO ENGINE
4. RACE ENGINE AT 2,500 RPM FOR APPROX. 90 SECONDS
5. MAINTAIN ENGINE SPEED AT 2,500 RPM




6. CHECK THAT NEEDLE OF VOLTMETER FLUCTUATES 8 TIMES OR MORE IN 10 SECONDS
If not, inspect the EFI system and replace the oxygen sensor, if necessary.

7. STOP ENGINE
8. REMOVE VOLTMETER AND SST 09842-14010
9. INSTALL RUBBER CAP TO SERVICE CONNECTOR
