The air suction and feedback control system is used to maintain a stoichiometric air/fuel ratio in order to simultaneously reduce HC, CO, and NOx emissions by helping the three-way catalyst operate efficiently. The system consists of a air suction feedback control system, and the fuel feedback control system. Both of these systems are controlled by the electronic control unit (ECU) which monitors the oxygen sensor, water temperature sensor, engine rpm, and vehicle speed to regulate the system components.
