Vacuum Switch: Description and Operation

CALIFORNIA MODELS:

The Vacuum Switches inform the ECU of throttle valve position, wide open throttle (WOT) operation and engine load conditions. Vacuum Switches No. 1 and No. 2 control air suction system operation and Vacuum Switch No. 3 is used to regulate the fuel-cut solenoid. Vacuum Switches No. 1, 2, and 3 output the ECU terminals VSW1, VSW2 and VSW3, respectively.
