Belt Tension


1. Air conditioning belt tension is as follows:
a. On 2TZ-FE engines, new, 120-160 lbs. and used, 100-140 lbs.
b. On 3F-E, 3VZE, 4Y-E and 5M-GE engines, new, 100-150 lbs. and used, 60-100 lbs.
c. On 3E & 3E-E engines, new, 150-180 lbs. and used, 90-130 lbs.
d. On 3S-GE and 3S-GTE engines, new, 135-185 lbs. and used, 80-120 lbs.
e. On 1989 4A-FE engines, new, 140-180 lbs. and used, 110-150 lbs.
f. On 1989 4A-F and 1990-92 4A-FE engines, new, 140-180 lbs. and used, 80-120 lbs.
g. On 1989-90 4A-GE engines, new, 170-180 lbs. and used, 95-135 lbs.
h. On 1991 4A-GE engines, new, 140-190 lbs. and used, 70-110 lbs.
i. On 4A-GZE engines, new, 155-175 lbs. and used, 70-100 lbs.
j. On 5S-FE engines, new, 170-180 lbs. and used, 120-140 lbs.
k. On 7M-GE and 7M-GTE engines, new, 140-180 lbs. and used, 95-115 lbs.
l. On 22R engines, conventional belt, new, 100-150 lbs. and used 60-100 lbs. or ribbed belt with A/C, new, 140-180 lbs. and used 80-120 lbs.
