Road Test Of Sub-Oxygen Sensor

NOTE: Perform this test only when code 27 is displayed.

ROAD TESTING SUB-OXYGEN SENSOR
(a) Erase the diagnostic code.
(b) Warm up engine to normal operating temp.
(c) Drive for at least 5 minutes in D range (A/T) or 4th or 5th (M/T) at a speed less than 80 km/h (50 mph).
(d) From the condition in (c), fully depress the accelerator pedal for at least 2 seconds or more.
(e) Stop the vehicle and turn the ignition switch to OFF.
(f) Repeat steps (b), (c) and (d).

If code 27 is displayed again, inspect the sub-oxygen sensor.
