Lubricate
    Drive/Propeller Shaft
      4WD models. Lubricate grease fittings where available. Lubricate Lubricate slip joints. Tighten flange bolts. Grease daily if immersed in water.
Inspect/Adjust
    Valve Clearance
      Inspect valve clearance and adjust if necessary.
    Drive Belt
      Check for cracks, wear and fluid contamination. Adjust tension if necessary.
Check
    Drum Brake System
      Inspect brake linings and drums. Inspect lines, hoses, wheel cylinders, drums and linings for wear, leaks and damage. Check parking brake.
    Disc Brake System
      Inspect brake pads and discs. Inspect lines, hoses, master cylinder, pads and calipers for wear, leaks and damage. Inspect disc for runout.
Tighten/Torque
    Body and Frame
      Inspect bolts and nuts on chassis and body, particularly the front and rear suspension member to cross body, the leaf spring u-bolts, the strut bar bracket to body, and seat installation bolts.
Inspect
    Steering Gear
      Check fluid level and condition. Check for leaks.
    Steering
      Inspect steering linkage.
    Fuel Supply Line
      Inspect fuel lines, hoses and connections. Check for leaks and damage.
    Exhaust System
      Check for cracks, corrosion and leakage. Check heat shields for debris.
    Brake Hose/Line
      Inspect lines and hoses for leaks or damage.
    Ball Joint
      Check ball joints for wear and inspect boots for damage. Inspect ball joints and dust boots for looseness, cracks and damage. Inspect ball joints and dust boots.
Replace
    Spark Plug
      Replace with correct type and gap according to manufacturers specification.
    Fluid - Transfer Case
       Replace fluid and check for leaks.
    Fluid - Differential
       Replace fluid. Check for leaks.
    Fluid - A/T
       Service fluid and filter. Check for leaks.
    Engine Oil
      Emission Warranty requirement for vehicles sold in California.
    Air Filter Element
Clean/Repack
    Wheel Bearing
      Repack front wheel bearings and thrust bushing.
