Powertrain Management: Locations

CEC Component Location:

AIR FLOW METER:

Air Induction Assembly:

The air flow meter is located at the right front section of the engine compartment.

AIR SUCTION VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE (VSV):
Located on the left side of engine compartment.

CENTER DIFFLOCK LIGHT INDICATOR SWITCH:

Center Difflock Light Indicator Switch:

Mounted on top center of the transfer case beside the motor actuator.

CIRCUIT OPENING RELAY:
Located behind the left kick panel underneath of the dash.

DIAGNOSTIC CHECK CONNECTOR:
The diagnostic check connector is located on the right side of the fire wall.

EFI MAIN RELAY:
Located on the right side of the engine compartment above the wheel well.

ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT (ECU):
Located inside the dash above the glove box.

EGR GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR (CALIF. ONLY):
located on the left rear side of the engine.

EGR VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE (VSV):
Located on the left side of engine compartment.

FUSES AND FUSIBLE LINKS

Fuses And Fusible Links:

IDLE SPEED CONTROL (ISC) VALVE:
Located on intake manifold, just to the right of TPS.

INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR (THA):
Mounted inside of the air flow meter.

NEUTRAL START SWITCH:
The Neutral Start Switch is located on the left lower side of the transmission, just behind the bell housing.

OXYGEN SENSORS (OS):
The oxygen sensors are located in the exhaust system just before each Catalytic Converter.

THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR (TPS):
The throttle position sensor is located on the throttle body assembly

VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR (VSS):
Located behind the instrument panel.

WATER TEMPERATURE SENSOR (THW):
Mounted in the left lower side of the water outlet assembly, on the front of the engine.
