Pinout Values and Diagnostic Parameters

ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULE (ECM) INSPECTION

NOTE: The ECM itself cannot be checked directly. The EFI circuit can be checked by measuring the resistance and voltage at the wiring connectors of the ECM.

MEASURE VOLTAGE AT ECM
1. Check the voltage at the wiring connectors.
2. Turn the ignition switch ON.

3. Measure the voltage at each terminal.

NOTE: Perform all voltage measurements with the connectors connected. Verify that the battery voltage is 11 V or above when the ignition switch is ON.

MEASURE RESISTANCE AT ECM

CAUTION: Do not touch the ECM terminals. The tester probe should be inserted into the wiring connector from the wiring side.

1. Check the resistance between each terminal of the wiring connector.
2. Unplug the wiring connectors from the ECM.

3. Measure the resistance between each terminal of the wiring connectors.
