Front Wiper Motor

1. Inspect low speed motor operation as follows:
a. Disconnect wiper motor electrical connector.
b. Connect positive battery lead to terminal 3 and negative to terminal 1, Fig. 33.
c. Ensure motor operates at low speed.
2. Inspect high speed motor operation as follows:
a. Connect positive battery lead to terminal 2 and negative to terminal 1.
b. Ensure motor operates at high speed.
3. Inspect motor operation, stopping at stop position, as follows:
a. Operate motor at low speed.
b. Disconnect positive lead from terminal 3 to stop motor operation.
c. Connect terminals 3 and 4.
d. Connect battery positive lead to terminal 5 and negative lead to terminal 1.
e. Ensure motor stops running in Off position after motor operates again.
4. If motor operation is not as indicated, replace motor.
