Distributor Cap: Testing and Inspection

INSPECTION

1. Remove the distributor cap and sparkplug wires.

CAUTION: Carefully remove ignition wires by pulling on the rubber boots. Do not bend the wire or the conductor may be broken.

2. Check for rough or pitted cap terminals. Scrape or file carbon deposits if necessary.
3. Check distributor cap for wear, cracks and other damage. If necessary, clean or replace distributor cap or wires.
