Introduction
Operating logic of 1995-1997 Tacoma ECMs has been revised to improve engine idle smoothness (with transmission in "D" range) by increasing idle speed (A/C "OFF") from 600 RPM to 700 RPM. The change has also narrowed the RPM transition between A/C "OFF" and A/C "ON" engagement.
Affected Vehicles
- 1995-1997 Tacoma 4x2 equipped with 2RZ-FE four cylinder engine and automatic transmission.
