1995 TACOMA WINDSHIELD MOLDING WIND NOISE

To reduce the likelihood of wind whistling noise from the windshield molding of some Tacoma vehicles, 2 production changes have been made to the windshield molding as shown.





1. Increase in the cross section of body-side lip of cold kit type molding to match the non-cold kit type molding.





2. Three additional foam blocks have been added at the roof side for both cold kit and non-cold kit molding types.

FIELD FIX INFORMATION:





To correct this wind noise condition when it occurs, fill in the windshield molding channel with a urethane sealant such as 3M Window Weld Re-Sealant or equivalent. (See illustration for proper application of sealant.) Do not replace the moldings.
