Without Scan Tool

Either of the following actions will erase the diagnostic trouble codes and freezed frame data.
1. Operating the OBDII scan tool (complying with SAE J 1978) or TOYOTA hand-held tester to erase the codes. (See the OBD II scan tool's instruction book for operating instructions.)
2. Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery, or disconnect the EFI fuse.
