Lower Suspension Arm
Front Suspension - 2 WD:
REMOVAL
1. Remove front wheel.
Torque: 103 Nm (76 ft. lbs.).
2. Remove engine under cover.
3. Remove torsion bar spring.
4. Disconnect shock absorber from the lower suspension arm.
5. Disconnect stabilizer bar from the lower suspension arm.
6. Disconnect strut bar from the lower suspension arm.
7. Disconnect lower ball joint from the lower suspension arm.
8. Remove the nut, then the lower suspension arm.
Torque: 206 Nm (152 ft. lbs.).
INSTALLATION NOTE: After stabilizing the suspension, torque the nut.
BUSHING REPLACEMENT
1. Remove the bushing as follows:
a. Cut off the bushing rubber, as shown in the illustration
b. Using Special Service Tool (SST) 09726 - 35010 or equivalent, remove the bushing.
2. Install the bushing, as follows:
a. Apply soapy water on the front rubber part of a new bushing and fit SST 09726 - 35010 or equivalent on the bushing.
b. Using SST 09726 - 35010 or equivalent, install the bushing.
INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE: After installation, check the front wheel alignment.
